During my shoot with Casey, Annie + Baby Casey, I had one question for Havertown’s newest dad. Did he ever in a million year’s think that I, the wife of one of his high school lacrosse rivals, would be plopped up in bed for a photoshoot with him, his wife, and their baby boy?

We all got a good laugh out of the fact that Casey and my husband, Mike, once despised each other (on the lacrosse field at least), and now were not only neighbors, but really good friends. If you were to ever stop over for a happy hour in our Havertown neighborhood, you’d probably hear the same story, over and over again, about the wild and crazy antics these Malvern Prep and Haverford School lax players pulled on another. Annie can attest to this; I think we’ve now heard this story at least 30 times (insert eye roll here).

But the one thing we can all agree on is that our newest little neighbor will be a stud athlete, just like both of his parents. I can guarantee Baby Casey will grow up with LOTS of laughs and fun times down the shore (where Casey + Annie found love in a hopeless place aka late night at a Sea Isle pizza shop). He’ll also have a built in team of fans in his neighbors who will be rooting for him along the way. And I might just elect myself as one of the team’s captains because this little guy is that awesome.
